Bacterial vaginosis is a disease that is caused when there is an imbalance of the bacteria found in the vagina. A healthy vagina primarily has lactobacilli, which is the good bacteria. These useful bacteria are associated with the production of peroxide and lactic acid, which help protect against any infection in the vaginal area. When the lactobacilli are defeated by various types of other bacteria like mobiluncus, bacteroides, gardnerella and mycoplasma, the balance in the vaginal walls is upset, and bacterial vaginosis occurs.

There are various symptoms by which a woman can tell by herself whether she has bacterial vaginosis. The most common symptom is a fishy odor that patients complain about, and more often than not, this odor is accompanied by a yellowish discharge, which increases after sexual intercourse.

Apart from this common symptom, there are less common or secondary symptoms of bacterial vaginosis. These include swollen vagina, pain during urination, irritation and itching in the vagina and burning sensation.

Bacterial vaginosis is a condition of the vagina which is associated with overgrowth or an imbalance of the bacteria that occurs naturally within the walls of the vagina. Women with bacterial vaginosis do not complain of any itching or swelling; however, the condition is associated with an off-white or yellowish vaginal discharge.

The symptoms of bacterial vaginosis include a vaginal discharge, which varies between off-white, yellow and yellowish-brown, and has an unpleasant fishy odor. Women, who develop the condition, complain of an increase in the abnormal discharge especially after sexual intercourse. Other symptoms of bacterial vaginosis are burning sensation during urination, painful intercourse, itching in the vaginal area, or light bleeding.

Though bacterial vaginosis is not a sexually transmitted disease, it however occurs more in women who are sexually active. The condition itself is not severe and may go away in a few days without medical attention, but it may lead to more severe problems like some forms of sexually transmitted diseases.

Today a number of online sites have popped up all over the world that pertain to bacterial vaginosis. A number of them talk about treatments, including natural ones. And many of these are effective while many others are not. But then, a myth of bacterial vaginosis e-medicine treatments has slowly but surely built up. In this post, I shall explain why there can be no “e-medicine” but only information for bacterial vaginosis, what is the value add of these treatment methods and whether to trust them or to ignore them.

First of all, please note that the Internet is only a repository of information as far as treating any infection is concerned. One simply cannot have some sort of a “magic pill” or potion or some other kind of miracle to get treated by using the Internet. And then, also note that the Internet is open for every Dick and Jane to write their own opinions. So no matter what, take anything with a grain of salt unless you know something is comeing from a reliable place.

Unless the above has failed to flash a light-bulb inside your mind, you already know it. If you don’t then understand it now. There is no vaginal bacteria e-medicine that exists today. What exists is a bunch of information on the Internet, some of which is excellent and the other is not. So if you can identify the good information and discard the bad then you are really well off.

Don’t try to look for the miracle “e-medicine” for your bacterial vaginosis. First, simply visit your health advisor and make sure that what you have is really BV, and not an yeast infection or trichomonas. If you do not have BV but start getting treated for BV then you could be headed for disaster. So prevent the disaster first. Also, if you want, you could simply move forward with the BV treatment offered by your health advisor. They would usually give you the antibiotic treatment.

Bacterial vaginosis is infamous for recurring and coming back. Just when one thinks it is gone, it comes back. Helping eliminate chronic bacterial vaginosis is where a lot of the natural treatment information available on the Internet really adds value. As explained on the bacterial vaginosis treatment approaches post, antibiotics bully to kill bacteria; and if the vagina does not self-heal by resurrecting its acidity by the time that the bacteria comes back you would go down with BV again. This is the underlying reason that makes BV a recurrent problem. And then, you cannot continue antibiotics forever since they would have side effects and also it would make you vulnerable to other diseases by helping bacteria grow immunity.

So here is where the so-called bacterial vaginosis e-medicine courses help. They help you by recommending a few completely natural methods to control vaginal acidity. This will help the vagina get back its desirable acidity and eliminate the unwanted bacteria. In fact, the bad bacteria will find it difficult to grow and stay once the vaginal ambience (such as acidity) becomes unfavorable to them. At the same time the desirable vaignal bacteria (Lactobacillus. et al) will come back because of the desirable acidity level. And you shall be able to eliminate the problem in the long term, unlike a temporary solution using antibiotics.

Note that not all of this “e-mecidine” for bacterial vaginosis is good. There are some methods that would help you control the BV from getting worse. And there are some other methods that would eliminate the BV and take your vagina to such a condition that with a little bit of simple discipline you shall remain healthy for the rest of your life. A lot of that is discussed on this page, and a great information resource is also highlighted on this page: bacterial vaginosis natural treatments.

There are a number of possible infections that women can suffer from. Some of the more common infections are caused by bacteria. And there are a few infections such as bacterial vaginosis that can occur only in women and not in men. That is because these are problems observed in feminine portions of the body. This content discussed a few of the most common vaginal infections among women including the bacterial one.

There are three primary kinds of vaginal infections that are seen among women. One of the most prevalent form of infection is the yeast one. In case of yeast infection the human vagina is attacked by excess yeast and that leads to an infection. Another form of vaginal infection in women is the trichomonas that is popularly known as trich. Trich is a rather uncommon kind of infection that is seen in around 5%-6% of the total number of vaginal infections that women suffer from.

The majority of the vaginal infection seen in women happens to be a bacterial one, and that is bacterial vaginosis. The germs enter the woman’s vagina and start staying and growing right inside. In fact, the human vagina by default houses bacteria such as Lactobacillus that is good for health. This is often referred to as “good bacteria” in an informal manner when speaking with respect to the female genitalia. On the other hand, the bacterial infections in women are caused by bacteria that are usually termed as “bad” bacteria – and this is the offensive bacteria that grow in the vaginal canal. Trich symptoms and bacterial vaginosis symptoms have similarity so you would want to make sure that you are treating the right problem by getting diagnosed before the treatment.

It has been observed that well over half the infections seen in the human vagina is causedd by bacteria and is some form of bacterial vaginosis. Almost 20% of the female population goes through this infection for some perios or the other in their lives. Note that almost one out of five women contact bacterial vaginosis while they are pregnant, and this significantly increases the chances of low birth weight, still birth and premature delivery. None of this is welcome.

Among many a bacterial infection in women, bacterial vaginosis is the single most observed one. The root cause is unknown for the problem, but it is seen that whenever the acidity level of the vagina changes (goes down), the stable ambience of the organ is disturbed. And that is when the desirable bacteria shrinks in count while the undesirable bacteria grows. If the growth of the bad bacteria becomes too high and the good bacteria is practically replaced, the condition becomes that of bacterial vaginosis.

You would not want to remain a victim of bacterial vaginosis for too long. While the problem is not serious in itself, keeping it untreated for long time periods makes the vagina and the body as a whole more vulnerable to other undesirable problems. HPV and HIV vulnerability is said to increase for people who have recurrent bacterial vaginosis. So treating this problem is important even if it appears to be harmless at the face of it.

For details on treating bacterial infection in women including treating bacterial vaginosis, you would want to visit this page and check out some of the treatment methods that have been proven to be effective.

There are quite a few types of vaginal infections that women face. These infections could be caused by fungus, yeast and bacteria among many possibilities. Among them, contrary to the popular belief, it is the bacterial infection that is the most prevalent one and not the infection caused by yeast. This infection caused by bacteria is often termed as bacterial vaginosis and is also well-known as bacteria vaginitis. And as many women find out thorugh their experience, bacterial vaginosis (BV) is unfortunately a recurring problem. In other words, if someone is infected with BV, they do not find it easy to get rid of the problem or eliminate it completely.

The detailed information on bacterial vaginosis can be found at the home page of this website. The real cause of bacterial vaginosis is an undesirable change of acidity inside the vagina. You would not want to keep the undesirable levels of acidity unchanged. You would prefer to fix the acidity once and for all so that you can eliminate the problem forever from your life. Bacterial vaginitis has drawn a lot of myths and inaccurate beliefs; make sure that you don’t fall for those.

If you notice it carefully, conventional treatments of bacterial vaginosis involving antibiotics does not really take the acidity change factor into account. The way that the traditional antibiotic treatment for BV works is that it would kill the bacteria by sheer chemical force. In fact, direct killing of microbes is what makes antibiotics powerful and that is not an exception for the case of bacterial vaginosis also since it is cause by bacteria which is a kind of microbe.

But unfortunately, that does not end the story for a significant fraction of the infected population. It goes well beyond the initial treatment with traditional antibiotics. The antibiotics will kill the vaginal bacteria without any consideration – it would kill the health-friendly bacteria that is expected to be in the human vagina and the harmful bacteria that is causing the BV, both alike. As a result, the initial effect of the person suffering from the ailment will be one of relief. The intensity of bacterial vaginosis will go down initially with the traditional antibiotic treatment. For some women, it will never return and the woman will believe she is healthy.

But for a number of other women, the bacteria will come back and infest the vagina once again. And then they would take the antibiotic again. And then it would disappear again, only to show up yet again. And this becomes a cycle and keeps repeating. In short, the BV goes chronic from this point onwards.

But what makes bacterial vaginosis become recurrent?

If you carefully observe, the treatment method (antibiotics) described so far does not in any way attempt to take care of the vaginal acidity. All that it tries to do and successfully does is that it ends up killing bacteria. But in reality the effect of the antibiotics cannot last forever. So what would happen once the effectso f the antibiotics wear off? Unelss the vagina self-heals within this time period, the bad bacteria starts growing faster than the health-friendly Lactobacillus bacteria again. And the outcome is that the BV that had apparently disappeared is back again, giving an impression of recurring bacterial vaginosis.

So the real way to eliminate recurring bacterial vaginosis is not to kill the micro-organism but to fundamentally change the conditions inside the vagina. You would not want to kill the bacteria forcefully over and over again usinng antibiotics. Over-exposure to antibiotics could possibly lead the bacteria develop resistance powers to medicine inside your body and then antibiotics may not help when you need them for some serious requirements. Plus, overuse of antibiotics could leave other possible side effects.

What you would rather want to do is go for natural treatments to increase the vaginal acidity and thus create a more suitable environment for the “good bacteria” to grow back. So you would want to follow some of the natural BV treatment methods and lead a disciplined life. The natural elements, easily found in nature, would help maintain the vaginal acidity without producing side effects. So you need to keep maintaining a life with certain disciplines and that in itself will help you a lot in the long term.

Also, among the popular bacterial vaginosis home remedy methods, there are some elements such as yogurt and apple cidar vinegar for treating bacterial vaginosis that are used quite a lot. One of the most effective means is to use certain probiotics along with leading a disciplined life. More more on treating your BV using natural methods, please take a look at this page.

Bacterial vaginosis is one of those sensitive problems that require the infected woman to expose her most embarrassing part of the body to her health advisor. While many women are okay with it, many others are not and feel shy about exposing herself. And they start searching for ways to be able to reduce or even eliminate the problem right from home. And these are the situations when the question of using some sort of bacterial vaginosis home remedy arises.

Remember that before you indulge in any kind of home remedy, you would want to make sure that you know you really have BV and not something else from your health advisor. There are other vaginal infections among women that are rather similar to BV although they are definitely not the same. So do not start any treatment without getting diagnosed properly – any improper treatment can be harmful. By the way, BV and vaginal bacteriosis are the same problem with two different names, so don’t panic if you have heard any one name rather than the other.

Also note that it is always advisable to have the full consent of your health advisor no matter what you do with your health. It is well-known and well cited that bacterial vaginosis can be treated with standard antibiotics but it shows a tendency to come back. But the reality is that if you can keep the root cause of the problem – namely reduced vaginal acidity – away then you do stand the chance to have a permanent BV cure. So if you are going for a home remedy for your bacterial vaginosis then you would further want to take these factors into account and make sure that you end up eliminating the menace permanently.

So now that you are all set to go looking for home based treatment and cure of the vaginal infection, you need to understand how to eliminate the offending microbe from your internal organs permanently. The whole objective of home based natural bacterial vaginosis treatment is to create an environment of acidity that will be unsiotable for the offending bacteria but good for the healthy bacteria to grow and blossom. There are a number of home based options for treating bacterial vaginosis. You need to understand them and figure what suits you.

Please note that the very best of natural treatments for BV have been discussed on the bacterial vaginosis treatment page here. And interestingly, these natural bacteria elimination processes can be carried out from home at your own time, pace and comfort, and without exposing the area of shyness to others once you choose to take this route.

Take treatment of BV with apple cidar vinegar as an example. This may not be a complete BV elimination method, but it will normally control and curb the BV to a great extent. And the use of this can be carried out fully from home. You would want to try a bath in your bathtub with the apple cidar vinegar mixed with mildly warm water. This will cleanse the externals of your vaginal zone and thus help you not grow on the problem. The experience may cause a bit of itch in you but the impacts are good. Another option is to take a tea spoonful of the vinegar and douce with it using two or three cups of water.

Then there are other methods. Garlic is one of those elements that work well for a number of health conditions, andd BV is one of them. Another great home remedy for bacterial vaginosis is to use yogurt. One can consume plain or flavored yogurt, but the most effective yogurt method is the one where it is directly applied in the vagina. The yogurt could further be put of the vaginal walls. This in turn will help the primary bacteria, namely Lactobacillus., grow back to restore balance of the vaginal flora thus creating a healthier environment inside your vagina as a whole. There are also a number of other elements including tea tree oil and cranberry juice that also help in improving our condition if you are infected with the vaginosis microbes.

There are a significant number of books available on the Internet that help the infected women understand the bacterial vaginosis home remedy systems. One such guide book that has proved to be practically effective for a number of women has been referred to on this page. The ebook is characterized by a detailed 3-step plan for executing an easy-to-use home remedy for bacterial vaginosis aiming permanent elimination of the problem, and then a further way of how to easily remain free from BV once the problem is arrested..

Apple cidar vinegar is a noted method among the many bacterial vaginosis home remedies that help eliminate the aggravation and control the problem. There are quite a few natural approaches for taking care of BV. This includes yogurt, cranberry juice, tea tree oil and garlic among many other options. Apple cidar vinegar is one of the best natural methods to control BV. It will probably not cure your BV, but the spreading will stand a good chance to be reduced. So you shall feel relief from the immediate anguish.

Apple cidar vinegar is slightly acidic but not too acidic. It is acidic enough for killing a lot of bacteria but not acidic enough to wipe out all the bacteri inside you or to cause pain or irritationn in your body if used in the right ways. Also it is a completely natural element, and hence it would not leave back side effects that one would keep suffering from afterwards.

Now the biggest question is how to use apple cidar vinegar for bacterial vaginosis and get great results? There are three main answers to this, but the first two are the effective answers among the three.

Bathing

Bathing in apple cidar vinegar is probably the most effective option. Remember, apple cidar vinegar by itself is probably not powerful enough to elimate your BV on its own. But it is normally seen to be sufficiently strong so as not to let the bacterial vaginosis keep growing on. So in essence, you are probably looking for BV control but not necessarily complete BV elimination using apple cidar vinegar.

Having said that, lets now understand how to bath in apple cidar vinegar. You would not want to put too much apple cidar vinegar or use too hot or too cold water. You would want to take slightly warm water that will be cozy and comfortable.

A good idea is to take half a cup or around a cup – typically up to 250 ml – of this element and mix it with bath tub water that is sufficient in quantity to cover your bottom part of the body as you sit in the water. And then, simply sit in the bath tun and relax for about 20-30 minutes in the water. The initial feeling may be one of burning sensation, but it will eventualyl wear away and you shall feel comfortable.

So this will protect your vaginal zone from external attacks causing some of the common bacterial infections in women. Further, you shall need to make sure that you are using a clean bath tub. The impact of regular use for around a couple of weeks or so will prevent your BV from growing further and will keep in control. In some cases you may improve by a great extent but may not necessarily get cured.

Douching

A second option for using apple cidar vinegar aiming bacterial vaginosis treatment is using douches. You would want to take around one and half to two cups of water, and mix a tea-spoonful of appe cidar vinegar with it. You would put this mixture in the douching bag and start the douche. Do this once a day for around a couple of weeks, and the bacterial vaginosis will come under control. Do not overdo it – that is probably not going to help at all and in fact, it ay hurt because it may end up killing the health-friendly bacteria that also resides inside your vagina.

For douching, you can use a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in two cups of water. Just put it in a douching bag and you’re ready to go. You should do that once each day until the BV clears up. That’s likely to take about one to two weeks. Just remember that too much douching can flush out the good bacteria as well as the bad. So, don’t think that extra douching will work extra fast because it won’t.

Drinking

Drinking appple cidar vinegar is also an option. While this is not that effective for eliminating bacterial vaginosis if you have it (bathing is good and douching is also good), but it is a good option for you to use apple cidar vinegar on an ongoing basis as a drink if you want to prevent yourself from bacterial vaginosis. This is not a vaccination or anything of that sort; rather, it is a way to create a healthy body and physical system so that your health remains good in the long term including BV protection.

To summarize, treating bacterial vaginosis using apple cidar vinegar is good but not really the very best of all options. It is great for prevention and good for control of BV.

Since bacterial vaginosis is not a life-taking problem, a number of people infected with this form of vaginitis wonder whether treating the problem is required, or even worth it. The reality is that while the apparent danger of this genital infection is not imminent, it creates a number of potential vulnerabilities in the body of a female human being if it is not treated for a long enough period of time. Some of them are listed below.

Infertility: The unhealthy microbes, if nurtured long enough in the birth canal, can lead to damage enough to the reproductive organs to cause infertility.

Child bearing issues: A number of potential vulnerabilities in terms of giving birth to a baby may happen if you choose not to treat your BV, but are carrying and expecting a baby. Pre-term birth is one of the problems. In this case, the baby gets born before the stipulated duration of stay inside the uterus. So often enough, the baby born to a mother suffering from untreated bacterial vaginosis can suffer from low birth weight. It is seen that almost one in six pregnant women contact BV during the pregnancy period, and the chances of miscarriage shoot up if the mother-to-be is seen to carry the germs in her vagina.

STD: Contrary to a popular myth, bacterial vaginosis is not a sexually transmitted disease (STD). There are other forms of vaginitis such as trichomonas that are STD in nature but not BV. However, if you do not treat the BV and let it blossom then that stands a great chance to increase your vulnerability to other forms of STD.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID): Vaginal bacteriosis (another name for bacterial vaginosis) can also lead to PID.

So as you clearly see, while the infection may not be a direct killer, there are other rreasons that makes treating bacterial vaginosis important. And it is recommendable to get started with the process at the earliest possible. And the very first step is to get diagnosed. Once you know for sure you have BV, it is time to start the treatment.

If you are expecting a child, then simply stick to what your health advisor says about your BV (and they may also call it bacteria vaginitis although it is just a different name for the same problem). There are a number of women who are shy to expose their privates over and over again even if for health purposes, but do not let your temporary shyness come in the way of your permanent pleasure if you are pregnant.

Even otherwise, one great option is to listen to what your health advisor has to suggest. However, there are too many women who do not want to do that, and then bacterial vaginosis being recurrent in nature more often than not, many other women lose faith and confidence in the traditional systemt of treatment for bacterial vaginosis. They look for alternatives to the conventional antibiotics prescribed by the health professional.

The options other than the standard practices are over-the-counter (OTC) pills and natural treatments. The OTC pills work rather well a number of people. If you are comfortable using these pills then feel welcome to go for this. There are a number of pills that use natural ingredients and those are friendly towards health in the sense that they do not leave back side effects. Please note that it may not be safe to take any OTC pill that claims to help treating bacterial vaginosis because not all of them would maintain the desirable standards. It may be a great choice to stick to the reputed brands rather than go for a random or unknown OTC pill. Some of the current brands with reputation are Destinol, Fem Dophilus and Femanol.

One of the best treatments for bacterial vaginosis is to take natural remedies. There are external and internal natural remedies that will help you improve your overall vaginal health condition and minimize the microbes – in particular the harmful ones. In situations such as BV where Lactobacillus-like health friendly bacteria are greatly curbed from the female genital organ, it is important to create an environment that is acidic enough for the bacteria to group back. In fact, the essence of treating bacterial vaginosis is in making sure that the root cause of the growth of germ is eliminated, and natural elements are great at doing that. Elements such as apple cedar vinegar, yogurt, garlic, tea tree oil and cranberry juice are some of the many examples of natural remedies that can be used to treat bacterial vaginosis at home.

Much more on bacterial vaginosis natural treatments can be found on this page.

Vaginitis is an inflamation of the vagina – the internal genital organ of the human female. This is a problem faced by the vagina resulting in irritation and inflamation. Vaginitis is a problem faced by multiple millions of women every single year. So this is a problem that has a major impact simply because of the sheer volume of people it touches.

There are a number of different kinds of vaginitis that women are seen to suffer from. The types of vaginitis are based upon their underlying cause. There are three primary classes of vaginitis that are observed among people. These are (a) bacteria vaginitis which is also knonwn as bacterial vaginosis, (b) yeast vaginitis which is also known as candida vaginitis and (c) trichomonas vaginitis which is popularly known as trich. The first two are relatively common while the third one (trich) is obbserved among less than 5% of the total number of women suffering from a vaginitis. And among the lot, bacterial vaginitis happens to be the most frequently found form of the problem.

Vaginitis is an extremely common problem. Millions of women suffer from it every year. And majority of that is bacteria vaginitis (BV). It is surprising to observe that BV is known to recur even in spite of the very best of traditional treatment. So one way to control vaginitis and in particular BV is to follow natural habits that help one maintain their vaginal health. For this same reason, some of the very best permanent remedies for BV happens to be natural treatment for all practical purposes.

There are a number of possible reasons for vaginitis. Bacterial infestation, fungal problem, protozoan attack and allergic infection and reaction can cause bacteria vaginitis. The forms of vaginitis caused by bacteria and yeast are not sexually transmitted but trichomonas is. So to understand whether a vaginits will get sexually transmitted, you need to first understand the type ofthe vaginitis in question.

Bacterial vaginosis (bacteria vaginitis) occurs as the vaginal acidity changes and the nature of vaginal flora transforms with the change. The default flora of a healthy vagina would comprise of a significant fraction of Lactobacillus and that is a great microbe to maintain health of the tender genital organ. This class of bacteria also helps to maintain the vaginal acidity to desirable levels. If the vaginal acidity reduces, the Lactobacilli get substituted with unhealthy microbes – mostly harmful bacteria – and that leads to bacterial vaginitis. The bad bacteria is often anaerobic in nature, and they further deteriorate the vaginal health.

Symptoms for bacterial vaginosis are discussed in details on this page. You may want to read it up in details and consult your health advisor for diagnosis if you suspect you have any of the symptoms. It is important to get diagnosed. It is also important to treat the problem at the earliest. If it recurs you may want to think of going for bacteria vaginitis natural treatments – BV is known to recur with traitional treatment but natural methods and lifestyle can control it to a great extent.

You would definitely want to get the problem treated though. Vaginitis, and especially bacteria vagintis, is not dangerous at one level, but a long time untreated one can lead to infertility, pre-term birth, low birth weight, miscarriage, vulnerability to STDs (sexually transmittted diseases) and pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID) to name a few from many. To continue reading on the various bacteria vaginitis treatment methods, move ahead to this page.

Across multiple cases spreading over more than one walk of my life, I have seen sufficiently high number of women confused about their “vaginal bacteriosis” – and more so because they have heard “bacterial vaginosis” but not this one. So the prominent question looming large in their minds is, whether these two vaginal infections are all the same or whether there is a difference in the two?

The short answer to this is: they are all the same. This is purely a jargon issue and to the best of my knowledge they are absolutely the same – some calling the infection by one name and some others calling it with another name. But it is the same microbe affecting the same organ (the female genitalia) in the same way for the same causes with the same symptoms having the same health impacts and having identical BV treatments, both traditional and natural. So all I am saying is that vaginosis, bacterial vaginosis and vaginal bacteriosis all are the same, and they are all a form of vaginitis. And by the way, this infection is also known as BV in short.

By the way, not to create more confusion, vaginitis is a class of vaginal problems seen in females caused by external micro-organisms such as bacteria, yeast etc. And the most common form of vaginitis is vaginal bacteriosis aka bacterial vaginosis. That should clear up a lot of minds still confused between the two problems and trying to decipher the jargons of health and microbes.

Remember, BV is not a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Just because you had sex with multiple partners, you are not going to run into bacterial vaginosis. What may happen though is that if you have a BV, then the process of sexual interaction may cause itch and burn in you, and you may feel a need for urination. And if you have urinary track infection also then that might be more painful. Although vaginal bacteriosis is not a STD, women of the sexually active age tend to get the problem. The reason for this is not particularly clear yet, but the cause could be associated with the acidity levels of the vaginal lubrication system.

One of the primary genus of bacteria that help maintain the healthy vaginal environment is Lactobacillus. There are a few species of of this bacteria expected to reside in the vagina and form the vaginal flora. This is what is referred to as good bacteria. Now when the good bacteria is reduced because of changed conditions of acidity inside the vagina and the bad bacteria takes over, the condition is said to be a case of bacterial vaginosis or vaginal bacteriosis. In this situation, the acidity of the vagina drops and the good bacteria (governed by Lactobacillus) is ruled over by other undesirable bacteria. There are different kinds of bac bacteria that could grow inside the vagina in this phase but the fact remains that these offending bacteria cause the entire problem of vaginosis.

So now that I have made an introduction to vaginal bacteriosis and made a brief introduction to the root cause of the problem, it is time for you to head over to the page of bacterial vaginosis symptoms to understand how to start suspecting the existence of this infection in your body, and then read up the causes of BV in more detail to understand your next steps.

Understand the problem carefully and act upon it prudently. Work on eliminating the root cause of the infection rather than blindly trying to kill the microbes using antibiotics. With a careful approach, your vaginal bacteriosis will disappear soon enough if your reproductive system is infected with the menace currently. Focus on the treating bacterial vaginitis (vaginosis) by eliminating the root cause rather than the symptoms. That’s giong to reap rich rewards over time.
